NOR Neural Optical Recovery: la nueva generación de gafas para la recuperación visual del deportista

Sports performance doesn’t end when training finishes. Recovery has become one of the key pillars for any athlete seeking to improve, compete, and maintain their level over time.

In this context, NOR Neural Optical Recovery was born, BIKKOA® Eyewear’s new proposal to address a factor often overlooked: the recovery of the visual system.

The NOR visual recovery glasses have been designed to reduce eye fatigue, improve rest, and optimize the athlete’s daily performance.

What is NOR Neural Optical Recovery

NOR is BIKKOA®’s commitment to integrating optics into the athlete’s recovery process. After constant exposure to screens, artificial light, and visual stress, the nervous system needs to regain its balance.

NOR visual rest glasses help to:

  • Reduce visual overstimulation
  • Promote eye relaxation
  • Improve sleep quality
  • Optimize nervous system recovery

These are not conventional glasses but a tool designed for rest and recovery.

NOR Technology: light control and visual recovery

The core of the NOR collection is its technology based on controlling light exposure.

These blue light sports glasses are designed to:

  • Filter blue light from electronic devices
  • Reduce the intensity of artificial light
  • Promote the natural production of melatonin
  • Create a more relaxed visual environment

All within the approach of sports optics applied not only to performance but also to recovery.

Why visual recovery is key to performance

The visual system is directly connected to the central nervous system. Excessive visual stimuli can affect rest, concentration, and physical recovery.

Visual recovery glasses help reduce this load, assisting the athlete in maintaining a balance between effort and recovery.

In modern sports, where every detail counts, optimizing vision is also optimizing performance.

Optical engineering applied to performance and recovery

Each NOR lens has been certified with specific technical parameters for transmission, absorption, and spectral filtering. This data allows understanding not only the color of each lens but also how it regulates light, protects against UV radiation, and affects the visual load on the athlete throughout the day.

How to read the transmission curve

The flatter and lower the curve in the blue-violet area of the spectrum, the greater the lens's ability to block high-energy stimuli. ACTIVATE and CALM allow more visible light to accompany the day; RESET and SLEEP strengthen filtering and shift the system toward recovery and rest.

Visible spectrum reading

Higher blocking in blue-violet Greater transmission in yellows, oranges, and reds

This spectral architecture explains why the system's final phases reduce the neurological load associated with nighttime light exposure.

Functional interpretation

ACTIVATE prioritizes clarity and activation. CALM balances visibility and visual comfort. RESET speeds up the exit from the loaded state. SLEEP maximizes light regulation before rest. These are not four colors: they are four optical responses for four different physiological moments.

NOR and the modern athlete

The modern athlete not only trains. They also work in front of screens, travel, and live in highly stimulating environments.

The NOR collection responds to this reality, offering a solution within the sports glasses universe that goes beyond Performance Vision.

With NOR, BIKKOA® expands its positioning toward a more global concept:

  • Performance
  • Protection
  • Recovery

BIKKOA® and the evolution of sports optics

At BIKKOA® Eyewear we develop solutions for the athlete's full cycle.

From running glasses to sports glasses, we now include a new category focused on recovery.

The NOR collection represents this evolution: a more complete vision of sport, where resting well is as important as training well.

Compare your phase. Choose your system.

The NOR System structures the athlete's light regulation into four phases of the day. Each lens is designed to respond to a different physiological moment: activation, balance, transition to recovery, and deep rest.

Activation and clarity

ACTIVATE maintains very high transmission to enhance contrast, environmental reading, and visual activation without completely blocking the daytime light signal.

Stimulus control

CALM and RESET progressively reduce visual load. CALM maintains functional balance; RESET intensifies filtering and accelerates the exit from the exertion state.

Rest preparation

SLEEP concentrates the highest light intervention of the system, with very low visible transmission and almost total blue blocking to protect the night phase.

PHASE 1 — NOR ACTIVATE Visual activation and neurological preparation

The first phase of the NOR System is designed to activate the visual system and prepare the body before physical exertion. The yellow lens acts on contrast perception and clarity in medium or low light conditions, facilitating a more precise reading of the environment and reducing initial eye strain. This phase not only improves what you see but also how your brain processes visual information, allowing a gradual entry into a performance state. Proper activation is the first step to perform better.

PHASE 2 — NOR CALM Visual regulation and control of light stress

The second phase of the NOR System is designed to stabilize the visual system in contexts of prolonged exposure to artificial light and digital stimuli. The lens works by reducing light overload and screen impact, helping to decrease visual fatigue and maintain a state of comfort and neurological balance. NOR CALM allows sustaining cognitive and visual performance throughout the day, minimizing accumulated wear before the recovery phase.

PHASE 3 — NOR RESET Visual decompression and transition to recovery

The third phase of the NOR System is designed to reduce the visual system's load after physical activity or prolonged exposure to stimuli. The lens works by softening light perception and promoting eye relaxation, helping to reduce accumulated fatigue and facilitating the transition from performance state to recovery. NOR RESET prepares the body to start the regeneration process more efficiently.

PHASE 4 — NOR SLEEP Optimization of rest and circadian regulation

The fourth phase of the NOR System is designed to prepare the body for rest. The lens works by blocking blue light and reducing light stimuli that interfere with melatonin production, promoting a natural transition to sleep. NOR SLEEP helps optimize the circadian rhythm, improve rest quality, and accelerate the athlete's recovery processes. Sleeping better means recovering better.

Conclusion: recovery is also trained

The future of sports performance lies in optimizing every detail. Visual recovery is one of them.

With NOR Neural Optical Recovery, BIKKOA® introduces a new category within eyewear: glasses designed to improve what happens after effort.

Because training better is important, but recovering better is what allows you to keep improving.
